New Thriller Livery Film Project

Tuesday, September 30, 2014

Hey guys,

One of our good friends has a film project called " Livery". It is a great project. Take a moment to check it out on Indiegogo and also share it with your friends. All the tools are there. Get perks, make a contribution, or simply follow updates. If enough people and get behind it. We CAN MAKE LIVERY happen!!

Not every cab driver will take you to your destination.

The script for this feature film is already completed and I am seeking $250,000 in funding to bring my project into the first stage of production.

Livery follows a group of people who have unknowingly entered the cab of a sociopath after getting off the plane from a weekend of partying in Las Vegas.
Livery is a psychological horror film that is written in the style of commercial successes such as SAW and the thriller Se7en

I'll be honest, 250k is not going to make the entire film.  But in order to get Livery off the ground, this first round of funding will be needed to allow it to get onto the big screen. The funds will be used to:
  • Hire a production team
  • Cast the film
  • Scout locations and obtain film permits
  • Book studio time
  • Complete principal photography
  • Plan post production
  • Pitch to my connections within the film industry
  • Obtain investments for final production
At the completion of this first stage of production, Livery will be up to industry standards, and the film will be shopped around to film studios such as Lionsgate or Paramount.

Perks range from a direct personal shout out on social media to a full fledge role on the film.  You can become a part of a Hollywood movie by donating today!

Every minute of every day, people jump into cabs without question.  We put our trust into a complete stranger, expecting to be delivered to our desired destination without drama or consequence.  Who doesn't take their cab driver for granted? A few years ago a girl left club in Manhattan, too intoxicated to stay out.  Her friends thought it would be a good idea for her to take a cab home by herself.  The cab driver drove here to New Jersey, where he raped her & killed her then got rid of her body in the woods.
Horror movies are typically unbelievable in every sense of the word- from the way the victims are slain, to the situations that the characters find themselves in.  As a result, horror films are often perceived as humorous.  In contrast,
Livery uses realism to jar the audience- much like the true story told above- to get at the core root of what we fear most- that we can be victimized because we trust.
People who are familiar with the film industry will know that 250k won't be able to make an entire feature length film. The biggest risk with this first stage of production is that investors and film studios won't fund the project to allow me to complete it.  However, my powerful personal network in the industry and my extensive experience as a filmmaker gives me the foundation I need to make this project a massive success.
The film will be suspenseful, captivating and terrifying.

Without a doubt, the most powerful way you can help bring Livery to life is through word-of-mouth.  Share it, tweet it, 'gram it, talk about it, post it with the hashtag #livery.
And that's all there is to it.

Tawanda Jones of Camden Sophisticated Sisters Recognized With A $25,000 Grant  Presented by Amy Purdy on Behalf of Toyota For Inspiring the Youth of Camden, New Jersey

Los Angeles – “Oprah’s The Life You Want Weekend,” Oprah Winfrey's eight-city arena tour and transformational weekend, announced the fourth Toyota “Standing O-Vation” award recipient on Saturday, September 27 in Newark, New Jersey.  The Toyota “Standing O-Vation” recognizes extraordinary people who are making positive changes in their communities and inspiring others to do the same.  Oprah Winfrey and Team Toyota brand ambassador Amy Purdy, “Dancing with the Stars” finalist and Paralympic Bronze Medalist, honored Tawanda Jones of Camden Sophisticated Sisters, a Camden-based drill team and drum line created as a safe haven to help the young people of Camden find confidence and a new direction for their lives.  As a recipient of the “Standing O-Vation” award, Camden Sophisticated Sisters will receive a $25,000 grant from Toyota in support of their outstanding commitment to supporting the local Camden community.

Camden Sophisticated Sisters was formed by Tawanda Jones to give local youth an activity that would help develop self-esteem and inspire them to realize their full potential, as Camden has one of the highest crime rates in the United States.  Twenty-eight years ago Jones found herself pregnant at the age of sixteen, and out of sheer determination not to become another statistic she decided to create a safe and educational activity for Camden youth.  In addition to rehearsing four to five nights a week and performing on weekends, the Camden Sophisticated Sisters are required to maintain a ‘C’ grade average and to perform 200 hours of community service each year.  Jones’ drill team members also have a high school graduation rate of 100%.

“I am speechless at the magnitude of love and energy I received on stage with Oprah Winfrey and Amy Purdy,” said Tawanda Jones.  “Getting a standing ovation for the work we do with Camden Sophisticated Sisters and receiving a $25,000 grant from Toyota was mind-blowing -- words cannot describe the enormity of this day.  Thank you Oprah and Toyota for giving me this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
The driving force behind The Toyota “Standing O-Vation” stems from the automaker’s commitment to fostering women’s interests. While reflecting the kind of stories that define the brand, The Toyota “Standing O-Vation” is an opportunity to celebrate remarkable women who are not only making the world a better place, but also motivating others to spark their own journey of personal change.

10 Books That Will Change Your Company and Career

    Wednesday, September 17, 2014

“Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers.”

In order to stay on top of the game. You must read books. We love to read, we are always purchasing books to further our business. Please check out the article below. All books are  mentioned are located at . The prices on amazon is very reasonable. Happy Reading :)

    Article from Dave

What do Benjamin Franklin, Sheryl Sandberg, Steve Jobs and Nike founder Phil Knight all have in common? Each of these incredible leaders credits a big part of their success to reading. And they’re not alone. Recent studies have shown the majority of CEOs of Fortune 500 companies read an average of four to five books per month.
Luckily, great books and the lessons they contain are not limited to super executives at mega-big corporations. They’re available to anyone. The only problem? There are so many great titles out there that selecting just one can be overwhelming.
So to help out, we decided to ask some real-life business owners and leaders what book has made the most impact on their business and leadership skills—excluding EntreLeadership, Dave’s practical step-by-step guide for growing a business. Here’s what they had to say.
The Book: Thou Shall Prosper by Rabbi Daniel Lapin
Why I Love It: It gives a different perspective, leading me to view business differently. I no longer feel the need to seek friendships just for business, and I am not hesitant to strive to operate a successful business. Instead, I am able to help people and develop relationships for the sole joy of knowing people, which, in turn, ultimately results in more business. —Josh C. Allen, Director of Operations, Attorney, The Allen Firm, Stephenville, Texas
    The BookLinchpin by Seth Godin
Why I Love It: It asks the question, “Are you indispensable?” It applies to all aspects of life and speaks to all team members, not just the C-suite. —Armen Alajian, Owner, ARTO Brick, Gardena, California
The Book: The Art of Possibility by Benjamin and Rosamund Stone Zander
Why I Love It: This book is full of beauty and unlocks so much of the mystery of leadership. There's a part of the book on "giving an A" that totally rocked my world. —Ashton Gustafson, Owner, Bishop Realtor Group, Wichita Falls, Texas
The BookThe Midas Touch by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki
Why I Love It: It focuses on staying focused and being mentally tough to withstand mistakes. It also talks about creating steady employment opportunities for solid people, quite similar to Dave’s lessons. It’s a solid read. —Jeff Japhet, President, Japhet Builders, San Antonio, Texas
The Book: Business by the Book by Larry Burkett
Why I Love It: Business by the Book was the first business book I read. It changed the way I viewed business, and it let me know that being a businessman was not a second-rate occupation. —John Patterson, President and CEO, Word International, Elon, North Carolina
The Book: How Successful People Think by John C. Maxwell
Why I Love It: The very first sentence in the introduction had my attention right away with this quote: “A person who knows how may always have a job, but the person who knows why will always be his boss.” It changed how I think and view others’ value. I especially benefited from learning how to practice “focused thinking.” —Pat Farmer, Marketing Director, Farmer Environmental Group LLC, Carrollton, Texas
The Book: It’s Your Ship by Captain D. Michael Abrashoff
Why I Love It: The book showed me that by thinking and doing things differently, you can take anything and make it great. I now look at problems differently and come up with alternative solutions. —Preston Cross, President, Four C’s Construction, Fresno, California
The Book: Good to Great by Jim Collins
Why I Love It: Good to Great teaches you to be a level-five leader. —Aaron T. Walker, Professional Life and Business Coach, Hendersonville, Tennessee
The Book:  Earn the Right to Win by Tom Coughlin
Why I Love It: It’s a no-nonsense approach to being proactive and feeling a sense of urgency. —Glenn W.E. Ford, President, B&E Precision Aircraft Components, Southwick, Massachusetts
The Book: Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Learn by John C. Maxwell
Why I Love It: If you've been playing the game longer than 15 minutes, you quickly learn that overcoming and managing loss is a critical skillset that's seldom talked about. The book's given me a better perspective and improved my thinking. It gets rid of the myth that you'll eventually get good enough or grow enough to never have a loss or setback. It's part of the journey. Winners learn how to overcome and prosper from their losses. —Boyd Smith, President, TechKnowledgey, Goshen, Indiana
The late President Harry S. Truman once said, “Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers.” More than a half century later, it still holds true. Books are one of the fastest ways to learn and grow. So what are you waiting for? Pick one up today!
